1.       Apple Jack Rabbit

This cocktail is a combination of Laird’s bonded apple brandy, lemon and orange juices, and maple syrup. Some adds a bit more lemon juice to the mix.

Ingredients

·         2 ounces Laird’s bonded apple brandy

·         ¾ ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed

·         ¾ ounce orange juice, freshly squeezed

·         ½ ounce grade B maple syrup

·         Lemon twist to Garnish.

Preparation

·         * Add the apple brandy, lemon juice, orange juice and maple syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well chilled. (or another apple brandy)

·         * Strain into a chilled coupe glass

·         * Garnish with a lemon twist.

2.        Brandy Sangaree

Ingredient

·         ½ teaspoon sugar

·         1 teaspoon water

·         2 ounces brandy

·         1 ounce port wine

·         Grated nutmeg for garnishing.

Preparation

·        * Add the sugar and water into a mixing glass and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

·         * Add the brandy and port wine, then add ice and stir. (or other apple brandy)

·         * Strain into chilled Nick and Nora glass

·         * Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.

3.       Calvados Sidecar

Ingredients

·         Lemon wedge

·         1-ounce Boulard Hoors d’Age Calvados

·         1-ounce Cointreau

·         1-ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed

·         Garnish; cinnamon sugar rim

·         Orange twist

Preparation

·        * Combine equal amounts of cinnamon and sugar on a small saucer.

·         * Rub the rim on a cocktail glass with a lemon wedge and dip the glass carefully into the cinnamon sugar mixture so that only the very top the rim is coated evenly.

·         * Place the glass in the freezer to harden the rim

·       *   Add the Calvados, Cointreau and lemon juice into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled (or other apple brandy)

·        *  Strain into the prepared glass.

·          * Garnish with the orange twist.

4.       Princes Mary’s Pride

Ingredients

·         2-ounces Calvados (or another apple brandy)

·         1-ounce Dubonnet rouge

·         ½ ounce dry vermouth

·         Orange twist

Preparation

·        *  Add the Calvados, Dubonnet rouge and dry vermouth to a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled.

·        *  Strain into a cocktail glass.

·         * Garnish with an orange twist

5.       Jack Rose

Ingredients

·         2 ounces Calvados (any other apple brandy)

·         1-ounce Dubonnet rouge

·         ½ ounce dry vermouth

·         Orange twist.

Preparation

·         * Add the Calvados, Dubonnet rouge and dry vermouth to a mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled.

·         * Strain into a cocktail glass.

·         * Garnish with an orange twist
